Marginal Utility Calculator

Marginal Utility Calculator

How it works:

  1. Input Fields:

    • The user will input the Total Utility Before consumption (TU1) and Total Utility After consumption (TU2).
    • The user will also input the Quantity Before and Quantity After consumption.
  2. Calculation:

    • The formula for Marginal Utility is: Marginal Utility=TU2TU1Q2Q1\text{Marginal Utility} = \frac{TU2 – TU1}{Q2 – Q1} Where:
      • TU1 is the Total Utility before.
      • TU2 is the Total Utility after.
      • Q1 is the quantity before consumption.
      • Q2 is the quantity after consumption.
  3. Result Display:

    • After clicking the “Calculate Marginal Utility” button, the result will be displayed below the button in the result area.
    • The result will show the calculated Marginal Utility based on the input values.

Example Usage:

  1. Before Consumption (TU1 = 100, Quantity Before = 2)
  2. After Consumption (TU2 = 150, Quantity After = 3)

The marginal utility calculation will be:

Marginal Utility=15010032=501=50\text{Marginal Utility} = \frac{150 – 100}{3 – 2} = \frac{50}{1} = 50

The result will be 50.
